When you have to start compromising yourself or your morals for the people around you, it’s probably time to change the people around you.” ~ Unknown

college daze (snapseed)

I was having lunch with a tufted titmouse, a finch, a cardinal, a robin, and a bluejay when I heard a familiar “Hey!” It was Crystal leading a party of old college mates. I don’t think I’ve seen Pek Suan Yew-Wyland (left) since we graduated in 1997. I’m not sure I’ve seen Paula Lincoln (middle left) since then either. I used to take my beloved dog, Sadie, to the art studio and she would search for Paula until she found her; no small thing in a two story converted tobacco warehouse. The love was mutual. It was an unexpected blessing to see Paula and Pek Suan today, and it was nice to meet Paula’s sister, Vicki (right), too. I hope it’s not another 15 years before I see them again.
