“The sacred is like rain. It falls everywhere but pools in certain places.”
~ Dakota elders
Remember when I had that squamous cell tumor removed from my hand in the spring? Several folks took my advice from that post and saw their dermatologists. My mother was one of them. Dr. Phillips today removed from mom’s leg the first of several squamous cell tumors, and she graciously allowed me to once again photograph the procedure (thanks also to her assistant, Jennifer). Another friend heeded my call, and she was also found to have cancerous tumors. Skin cancer is no joke, folks, especially if you’re fair skinned. Wear sunscreen, no matter what color you are, and see a dermatologist regularly particularly if you’re over 40. If the photos gross you out, let them be your warning. See your dermatologist. Pronto. <steps off soapbox>
