There was interest in yesterday’s Artists’ Village, so here are a couple more shots. The small blue house in the lower photo was a Habitat for Humanity house that Art Inc. bought, deconstructed down to the studs, and rebuilt to match the floor plans of the village houses. The Habitat house has a garage door facing the street, but the other houses have a garage door facing the communal space. Each opens into the studio of the artist of the house. Cool, huh? When all these houses are built, this neighbourhood is going to be fabulous. I hope they always house people who appreciate the history around them.
