The stairway leading up the five-story parking garage is surrounded by windows. Unfortunately, birds often fly into them, trying to go either in or out. Some make it out alive, but way too many don’t. Most of the time someone, probably Lovely Rita Meter Maid, removes the body soon after death, but sadly, not this little sparrow. The ants have made short work of him, having died only Thursday of last week. I love little birds, and I hate to see them die. And still I take pictures of their decay. What’s wrong with me? <snort>
