Mom, Lois, and I had a nice dinner before we attended the 31st Grand Night of Singing at the Singletary Center. I’ve heard about it for years, but finally had the chance to go tonight. It did not disappoint. It felt like half the cast is in the First Presbyterian Choir, and the other half has had something to do with the First Presbyterian Choir. It had me missing Marlon Hurst something awful since he is now in South Carolina running the show. Mom and Lois had a fabulous time, too, and we’re now all looking forward to going to the winter soiré Collage. I’m certain Lois will love that because she loves to sing. In fact, the finale tonight had the crowd singing, and Lois hit the high note at the end like a champ. I’ve encouraged her to audition next year. She would love it, and she’d be really good at it. I’d be there with the good camera for sure.
