“While nations are convulsed with rage, how quietly the flowers and grass grow.” ~ E.H. Chapin (1814-1880)
This is a crappy picture of the beautiful and unexpected gift of a Blackwing 55 from coworker Bront Davis. I don’t remember when I first learned about the Blackwing, but soon after I discovered their extraordinary performance (seriously, they’re unlike any other pencil), Jen Reynolds gifted me a Blackwing X, specially marked with “Independent Booksellers.” And now Bront has given me one for work. I’m feeling mighty lucky lately. Might need to buy a lotto ticket. I could use a little extra retirement bump.
