You know what a fan of positive quotes I am. Naturally, I had to stop and snap this little number I saw on campus (provided by True Lean, a program through the College of Engineering that has some connection with Toyota). It would be awesome if they’d put positive quotes like this all over campus for no reason other than the world needs some positive thought. Instead of the accomplished alumni flags hanging from light poles – making us normal alumni feel, well, somehow less than normal – why not say something positive and uplifting? Things like, “We rise by lifting others” or “Positive mind, Positive vibes, Positive life” or maybe “You’re a diamond, dear. They can’t break you.” The latter seems especially helpful for grad and PhD students. Just a thought. The world we’re in today could use a little more positive.
