This is a unique piece of architecture to be torn down soon to make room for a low cost health clinic on Southland Drive. Nobody I know in the neighborhood is happy about it, no doubt you can see why. Last week, part of the roof fell in which put the story back in the news. Until then, we thought the clinic idea had been abandoned, but according to reports, the roof collapse has just propelled the project forward. We stopped yesterday to say goodbye to another piece of Lexington’s fun personality. I’m sure glad I got to see what it was like before it’s gone.
