vernal redbuds (snapseed)

The Vernal Equinox: a day that should be warm yet hold a slight nip on the breeze; when delicate croci are surrounded by daffodils peaking yellow heads out of their tender green sheaths. This year, it’s 80 degrees and every blessed thing is in bloom; the daffodils nearly done, the croci long gone. Some trees have already gone to leaf. Still, I couldn’t help but notice the blast of color of the campus redbuds against a marble blue sky.

Then, when I made a trip to a certain building, I got a view of campus I haven’t seen in more than a decade. Hints of color hither and yon that will disappear with the new leaves drew me half out the third floor window; temporarily overcoming my fear of heights. For those familiar with UK’s campus, do you know which building I was in?
