“One day, you’ll look back and realize you worried too much about the things that don’t matter.” ~ Unknown

lunch?

Lots of people frown on street food, particularly hot dog carts. The first time I went to New York City, which was probably 1986 or 1987, I was oblivious to this, probably because we didn’t have hot dog carts in West Liberty. Hot dog carts were everywhere in NYC back then. I soon learned that everyone apparently knew these were to be avoided, except me, of course. After confessing that I’d had a hot dog from a street cart, our manager, a native New Yorker, was quick to point out that it was a bad idea. Still, I did not suffer any ill effects; I had another a few days later to prove a point. Still didn’t get sick. Standards have come a long way since then, and I suspect street vendors aren’t nearly as sketchy as they were 40 years ago. But maybe I’m wrong. I haven’t seen a hot dog cart like they had in NYC… since NYC, but I dig a good food truck setup like this one. It’s bright, and they have hot dogs. As you know, I’m a fan.
