“Everyone shines, given the right lighting.” ~ Susan Cain
I’ve got a whole passel full of first cousins, and these three (above L-R: Renee, Missy, Jessica) all happened to have babies in 2006, which feels like yesterday because it was a year before I bought my house, and I feel like I just got here. Anyway, fast-forward 18 years, and those three babies (below L-R: Lyndsay, Adam, Macie) are graduating from high school in the next couple of weeks. They had the first of two graduation parties today, and I think the moms are more excited than the grads.
Lyndsay Stigall will graduate from Montgomery County High and attend Morehead State University to study… I’m not sure what. Adam Watkins finished early in December at George Rogers Clark High in Clark County and began his collegiate career at BCTC studying filmmaking. Macie Moore will graduate from Bryan Station High in Lexington, Fayette County, and enter nursing school at the University of Kentucky. At last, I will not be the only wildcat in a Big Blue Nation crazy family. I cannot tell you how excited I am about that. All three graduates are the youngest siblings in their family, so this graduation will be the start of a big transition period for the families. I think they’re ready from the looks of it.
