Beware, a gang of archivists
A last-minute org by Andrew McDonell brought many of us from Special Collections to West Sixth Brewery this evening to celebrate the graduations of two of us, myself and Becca Taylor, who somehow managed to be the only person, along with Deirdre Skaggs, who weren’t photographed. We got to meet husbands we hadn’t met before, see children we hadn’t seen in a long time, and generally spend quality time together outside the office. For instance, I had a very fruitful chat with Ruth Bryan about continuing education beyond the Master’s degree, and heard about Andrew’s 20th anniversary, which he and his wife celebrated in Montreal. It was a great evening with co-workers, ending with the delicious fish and chips from Smithtown. You can’t go wrong with that.
