mother’s day roses

We’d planned to see Aunt Janet today to celebrate Mother’s Day and her birthday that was this past Thursday. Unfortunately, she wasn’t well (illness going through the nursing facility) and dad, having taken a nasty fall yesterday, wasn’t up for a long ride. Instead, we celebrated Mother’s Day by taking mom to Lowe’s for a new dishwasher, then Longhorn for a steak dinner that we brought home to enjoy. And enjoy we did! We ended our near perfect impromptu day by gazing at mom’s glorious roses that are about burst into color any day. I marvel every day at how fortunate I am to still have both parents and have them so close that we can enjoy one another every day.

Thank you, baby girl, for a wonderful Mother’s Day outing and for the best steak dinner ever. Dad and I thank you and love you more than you will ever know.
