Danielle, being one of the most thoughtful people I know, gave me my first orchid. It was one of the most awesome gifts she could have given me. Secretly I have wanted an orchid for a very long time, but with cats and a fear of killing it, I abstained. I love this orchid so much I had to name her. I call her…..wait for it….Iris. Probably only the truly weird will see the humor in that. Everybody else will roll their eyes. But you know what they say, “You’re not going to be everybody’s cup of tea.” I’m totally good with that. Sadly, I can’t bring her home because the cats would have a field day and Iris would be no more. Instead she brightens my office and greets me every morning. I love my orchid, Iris.
