Today I saw lots of people I love, and met some new friends that are already special. You’ll see them a bit later, but for now, let it suffice that my day was made when I had breakfast with Angie and Regina Barnett. You haven’t been formally introduced to Regina Barnett before now. There is so much I could tell you about Regina, but I’ll just say that we were immediate friends when we met at the Boy Scout hole (swimming hole on the Illinois River) 25+ years ago. We’ve had some of the funniest times in my life. Like the time we tried – and nearly succeeded – to sell our friend Lisa Whitworth for a sandwich. Memories of the antics we would get up to when we were younger, slimmer, and much more pliable give me endless joy. I love her so much.
