Abby Bartlett graduated from Henry Clay High School last night, thus completing a month of graduations in my world. She was accepted to the University of Kentucky and will be a permanent fixture on campus come August. But first, she’s got a summer to look forward to, and she started it by celebrating with her aunt Amy and cousin Maggie, who drove nine hours from Alexandria, Virginia, yesterday in time to make the ceremony at Rupp Arena. Today, they enjoyed a tour around campus, and that’s where I had the good fortune to run into them and tell Abby congratulations in person. She was just a little girl! Abby made her first appearance in the outhouse in its first year, way back in January of 2012. She would have been a whopping five years old. Ya’ll, she wasn’t even in school yet, and now she’s going to college!! Where did the time go? I couldn’t be more proud of her, and it was an honor to meet Jen’s sister and niece, too!
