In Kentucky we often introduce summer in a single day. Today was that day. To ring it in, Stacy Yelton and I had our lunch beside the fabulous little pond by the president’s house. The robins were very busy bathing, the chipmunks busy chasing each other, and the koi….I think they were still unthawing from winter to be honest. Last fall the gardenersĀ transplanted a bunch of gorgeous ferns around the pond, and their fronds are really opening now. It’s such a peacefulĀ little spot on a busy campus, and I’m thankful for it.
