“My philosophy is: it’s none of my business what people say of me, and think of me. I am what I am, and I do what I do. I expect nothing and accept everything. And it makes life so much easier.”
~ Anthony Hopkins

You know the old saying, April showers bring May flowers? This morning I awoke to this May flower. It’s an iris I was given more than three years ago by a neighbor down the street. Sadly, I can’t remember her name, but she has some of the most beautiful flower beds I’ve ever seen. We traded iris risomes after a long conversation about them as she passed by on her evening stroll. I’ve been waiting all this time for them to bloom. What a beautiful gift to find glowing in the morning sun. I could hardly drink my coffee for staring at it. As a bonus, my lilac blooms that just days ago I claimed had no scent, had in fact channeled heaven’s fragrance by the time I got home from work this evening. April showers bring glorious May flowers.
