impressive

This is the Walt Disney Concert Hall that houses the LA Philharmonic in DTLA. It is surprisingly hard to see at night. It has no accent lights to accentuate its stainless steel curves, which was a little surprising given how architecturally interesting it is. It reminds me of the monumental Sydney Opera House in Australia. I did not go inside, but I understand it is about as acoustically perfect as can be. I would love to experience music in such a place. Guess I’ll have to go back for a show.

The place is amazing! It is acoustically perfect, and as you enter and move into it, it accepts and welcomes you. It isn’t imposing and self-serving; it’s comfortable and reassuring. You’ve come to a beautiful place and you’re going to hear beautiful music.
