I don’t think I’ve posted a photo of a finished Pence Hall. Like all the other new and remodeled buildings on campus, glass plays a central role in the new designs. I predict this trend will not age well. It goes up fast, so I seriously doubt it is built to last. The building to the left, with the large circular window, is the south side of King Library where I work. We will be moving out of the building by summer 26 so it can be remodeled. No doubt, it will have glass added to its outsides somewhere to help it blend in with the other surrounding updated glass buildings. At this point, I’ll just be glad to work in a building that is asbestos-free with an HVAC system that works. I don’t care what it looks like.
