after dinner
The 3rd Friday gals headed for Marikka’s. For those unfamiliar, Markka’s Beer Steub on Southland Drive has more beer than you can possibly drink, and delicious German-inspired food, not to mention the indoor volleyball courts, pool tables, and other stuff. It was Jen’s inaugural dinner at Marikka’s, and I think it was a success. We were stuffed to the gills by the time we left. Actually, we were stuffed to the gills after the giant pretzel appetizer, but we bravely forged ahead into dinner and dessert. I won’t eat for a week. As soon as Shero is back to her old self I’m taking her to Marikka’s so she can take a trip down memory lane with the food. She and Hero always talked fondly of their time in Germany.
