“If we don’t let go, we can’t move forward.” ~ Kate Michael Gibson

Stacy and I mused over how much we love our neighborhood. We see all our neighbors at our polling place, and always have a good time. We were really lucky to find two beautiful little houses on the same street surrounded by the best neighbors anyone could ask for. Both of us! I enjoy that we can all meet at a place where we’re about to cast opposing votes (an assumption since it unlikely we all vote the same way) and yet, we’re kind to one another. Loving, decent people each and every one of us. I pray that one day our politicians will be in real life, and in public life, just the same as the good, decent, loving people with whom I share a neighborhood. We don’t have to agree, but we do have to live together and be decent and kind and forgiving to one another if we ever want to move forward. That’s my prayer tonight for my neighbors, my town, my adored Kentucky, and most especially for our nation. May it be so.
