“Ring the bells that still can ring/ forget your perfect offering/
there is a crack in everything/ that’s how the light gets in.”
~ Leonard Cohen
It was a beautiful day, start to finish. Many mornings this fall the sun has exploded all over my tiny Japanese maple, making the color deep and alive. I refused to drive away again without at least a feeble attempt at a shot. It doesn’t do justice to the tree, but I like it anyway, in all its imperfect glory. This evening the sky was equally lovely, and I was equally inept at capture, from a moving car no less. Still, I gave it the ‘ol college try. My work here is done, for today at least.
