catalpa sundown

I missed the peak light on Catalpa by an hour or less, but this ray of beautiful sundown light hitting the young couple out for a walk with their baby was sweet. There were so many people with cameras it was impossible to get a shot without four people in it, at the least. There were people on bikes, people in cars, people on the sidewalk, people in the street. Of course it was a record setting day, about 80 degrees give or take, and the lawn at Ashland was littered with people on blankets with books and photographers doing portraits. I’ve never seen it so busy. It was a blessed moment of normal.
