Today, I flew to Tampa for the Oral History Association’s annual meeting. My last few trips have had me making a connection in Charlotte, NC. It’s a great little airport, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen as many people packed into it as I did today. Fortunately, I had a nice layover, long enough to grab a bite at a cute little Tex-Mex joint across from this scene. Photographically airports offer some very interesting angles, shadows, perspectives, not to mention the people. Reagan National is visually a great airport, too. I’d really like to do a series of photos in airports. I’ll start here.
