Jeff and Jeanne Suchanek clean up pretty good, don’t they? I wish we’d been seated at the same table Friday night because we only had a moment to talk, and most of it centered on finding a good place for lighting to take the picture. Still, Jeff got a special and much-deserved shout-out for his extensive oral history work. The man is a machine, having conducted 1,993 oral history interviews. And when I accession what’s sitting on my desk, he will top the 2,000 mark. Unbelievable work. He has been such a great mentor to me and an even more wonderful friend. I love him like a brother, truly, and I’m forever grateful for him and Jeanne.
