The Radical Departures recorded our segment for the upcoming John Lennon Tribute today. It was the Ludwig’s debut, and my lord, do they sound good and look beautiful. Ringo would be proud. They were so loud in the empty church that some arrangements had to be made, namely I had to play really quietly to hear the backing track. But for a few moments during sound check, they sang out to God and the angels in a loud booming voice. My bandmates love them as much as I do. Speaking of my bandmates, I adore them. They are some of the finest players and human beings I’ve ever had the good fortune to make music with. Collectively, we had such a great experience with these songs that plans are in motion to expand our repertoire and play much, much more. I’m looking forward to it, and I’m really looking forward to being in their company again.
