“Stop waiting for the light at the end of the tunnel and start lighting up the tunnel.” ~ Unknown

movie set

I walked down the long corridor of the hotel yesterday and saw this. I hadn’t seen any other signs of cosplay, so I blew it off as high school friends having a reunion or some such. Today I researched the hotel’s history and discovered many movies, TV shows, and music videos were filmed here, including Ghostbusters. I’m still unsure what these guys in the top photo were doing, but at least now I can make some connections. This article is pretty cool with scenes from the movie against 2016 comparisons. In Ghostbusters, The Biltmore is The Sedgewick. Then, while I was watching this clip, I discovered a photo I’d taken a couple of days ago of the really impressive interior staircase is in the movie, though it’s couched as an apartment building. You’ll recognize it when you watch the clip (or you know the movie well). Gosh, I love the magic of movies, and Ghostbusters was a fun teenage flick back in the day.
