We cannot change the cards we’re dealt, just how we play the hand.” ~ Randy Pausch

hunter’s moon

I stopped at Stacy’s to photograph the leaves of Grace. I also got a beautiful moon, big and bright, placed just so. In ancient time, the Hunter’s Moon signified low vegetation so that game was more easily seen and hunted for winter’s food. Come spring, other beautiful moons shone, signifying regeneration and rebirth. The moon, by whatever name, is hauntingly beautiful: a reaffirming smile from out there, beyond our Earthly reasoning. Each moon reminds me of Lance, and that always makes me happy.
