“Practice being the kind of person you wish to attract.” ~ Wayne Dyer
Marie and I went to The 90 for lunch. They were featuring meatloaf (burnt) and mashed potatoes (real). We’d no sooner sat down when we were joined by welcomed guests Mary Molinaro and Judy Sackett. We enjoyed a delightful lunch together, and we were nearly finished eating when Judy said, “Oh, look, a pancake.” Marie and I thought we’d missed the pancake booth, but no, it was a walking pancake followed by two sporks, one of which carried a skateboard. Mary and Judy then shared their story of running into the tooth fairy on the way to lunch. I left my three companions laughing about that story so I could stalk the pancake and sporks. Pictures must be had, I thought. In the end we learned that Marie knew one of the sporks as he had once been a student in Special Collections. A good laugh was had by all. Marie and I then left our lunch companions and headed back to the office. Not too terribly far from The 90 there was a guy in a green tutu with wings. Yes, it was the tooth fairy handing out dental floss. There are times I wouldn’t trade working on a college campus for anything. It was an unexpected, hilarious day.
