Friends who’ve kept up with the outhouse for a while might remember the post from December 2017 when I stopped by the little abandoned building near Shakertown to admire and photograph it. Someone has since bought the building and the surrounding lot, cleared and cleaned the lot, and fixed the little building. The exterior materials are not replicas as it had scale tile roof and clapboard siding. I don’t know how they’ve restored the interior, and since it’s private property, it would be uncool to go stick my head in the window. Though, I would have probably done it if one of the owners hadn’t been outside with a weed-eater. None of that matters. What matters is that this delightful little gem has lived to see another day and that tickles me.
