Went to the optometrist yesterday and this is what I walked into. If you’re in Lexington and you use UK Clinic South (Turfland), you probably remember the space as McAlpin’s. UK bought it and refurbed the first floor years ago, but they’ve finally added clinic space to the second floor, the Optometry Department among them. It is a brand new space, and just like I did when the first floor opened, I walked into the second floor and giggled because it still smelled like McAlpin’s. They’ve done a really good job with the space I think, and who doesn’t like a smell that brings back good memories?
