The eye doctor told me that people like me who’ve had great vision their whole life are the hardest patients when the sight becomes less perfect. Well, yea, because I want to see! I’m stuck with bifocals that only work if I crane my neck like an unnatural bird that lets everybody look up my nose. I want to walk down stairs without having them look like they’re further away than they are. I don’t want permanent dents in the side of my nose, and I can’t handle contacts. I can’t even talk about eyedrops without my eyes watering like a faucet, let alone touch them. So, yea, I’m not jumping up happy about my prescription changing yet again. On the other hand, I still have better vision than most according to the doc so, now that I’m done complaining, I’m adjusting my attitude accordingly.
