We finally got Hero home and in his own bed. While he is improved since we last saw him, he is clearly not as he was before contracting Covid. The virus has wreaked havoc on his mind and body. Only time will tell if he can overcome it. He’s done it before, so he’s not a man to ever count out of the game. Mom and I are incredibly grateful to have him home. He has always said you can’t get better in a hospital because they won’t let you rest. He’s right, of course. Maybe soon he’ll turn this hateful Covid corner and get back to being spunky.
