It’s Groundhog Day, and it felt like Groundhog Day when I went to the grocery this evening and found bare shelves. Ever since the 2020 lockdown we’ve had supply chain issues, particularly canned cat food, of all things. Someone smarter than me knows why, but try explaining it to a cat who expects beef in gravy every morning. The ice storm headed our way tonight played little part in the lack of feline victuals. This is the new normal. Despite these bare shelves I managed to find the cat food elsewhere. I also managed to score chocolates and a Happy Anniversary card for Hero and Shero who celebrated their 59th today. Groundhog Day may not be good for cat food, but it sure seems good as a wedding day.
