Shero loves cookbooks. For her 80th birthday, I gave her a Julia Child cookbook. She gave it back the next day. I was stunned. (she had never done that before) It turned out that Julia’s cookbook had too-much-explanation and not enough get-to-the-point to suit her. Fast-forward a month and Crystal turned me on to Ree Drummond’s latest, so I thought I’d give that a try. Shero was intrigued. Tonight we had the first recipe from it: “Totchoes.” When we finished dinner I asked if I could see the cookbook. Shero said, “Sure, and you can just take it with you.” Again with the rejected cookbook! This time the recipe took too long to make. In March I’m going to bring her a clay tablet with a recipe for boiled eggs. Let’s see her turn that down. Gosh, you think you know someone after 57 years. #HilariousSheroMoment

OHHHHH honey, I’m so sorry I’ve hurt you I really didn’t mean to, you should know that. I have tons of cookbooks that I really don’t use any of them. I stick with what I know from years what and how to cook. You know I’m not a gourmet cook, never was. Oh baby you do know me but I didn’t think you’d let it be known that you don’t know me. I’m so so sorry I hurt you. I don’t want to ever hurt you in any way. I love you with all my heart and more than you know.
