Gaines
There are three historic houses comprising the Gaines Center: the Bingham Davis House, the Commonwealth House, and the Raymond Betts House. As if I didn’t love Gaines already, the fact that they do their business out of historic structures instead of tearing them down and erecting a garrish glass and steel monstrosity (a popular design of late) in their place means they are emblazoned on my heart. They’ve got a new director. I’ve got a new fellow. It’s soon to be a new year because many new alumni were made today as the university graduated thousands of wildcats. Congratulations to them all, Class of 2024.
