The Bruckheimer’s brought in well-known Lexington gardening/landscape designer Jon Carloftis to build the small backyard space of the tea room slash pink house slash wedding space in Bloomfield. It was a nice space, of course, but the mirrors on the exterior brick wall caught my attention. I don’t think I’ve seen mirrors used this way, an indoor fixture outside that helps turn the space into a middle ground, a purgatory between indoor and outdoor. If you want your garden to look upscale sheshe Bluegrass, go for the exterior wall mirror.
