“Be attentive to the voice of grace.” ~ St. Elizabeth Ann Seton
I was looking through my iPhone photos today and came across these sunset photos taken just before my last class in December, which was also my class for the degree. (I reserve the right to take more courses in the future if something appeals to me) Seems sort of fitting that it was a lovely sunset. Meanwhile, we’re bracing for the Icepocolypse in Kentucky, which is expected to begin in the morning. Today has been one of hunting and gathering supplies and washing everything that needs washing in the very likely event the power goes off and stays off for quite a while. This is Lexington, where the electric company would rather spend millions on labor costs to restore power than the same money to bury the lines so ice storms can’t cut the power. I suspect the guys continually making that decision are also the guys charged with traffic control, which, like above-ground-power lines, is just a hot mess. Just ask anybody who has ever tried to drive here. I digress. The point is that sunsets are lovely, and I was really glad to see this one before my last class.
