we’ll get to it
We’re moving the entirety of Special Collections (SCRC) out of the old King Library building by the end of July so the building can be renovated. In the process, we’re all finding things we’d completely forgotten about, for one reason or another. Believe me, it’s way too easy to do in an active and growing archive like SCRC. This morning, Sarah came in and said, “I know you’re retireing, but…” and held up this box. This is what she’s been meaning to ask me about… since 2012. Now, she hasn’t been here since 2008, but the box has been here and waiting since ’08, and she inherited it in 2012-ish. It felt good to learn that I’m not the only one who might be a decade or so behind. But, hey, we do get to things eventually. In case you can’t tell, we had a big laugh, and that, my friends, is how every Monday should start.
