In keeping with yesterday’s post I offer another two shots from the window. These were on the way to Pikeville with Jeff Suchanek at the helm. The Transportation Department is widening the Mountain Parkway at the West Liberty exit. I had not seen the destruction last time I went home because I often take the eastern route around Cave Run Lake. It’s amazing how much land they clear to build another lane. I sure hope the expansion offers more economic opportunities to the region. I really don’t like being up super early in the morning, but when I’m offered a sunrise into Eastern Kentucky as my reward, I’ll get up early every day. This is home no matter where I lay my head.
