Mom, Sharon, and I went to Chuy’s last Friday. Judy Sackett has talked about Chuy’s for years because she and her son Michael used to frequent the restaurant. It took a while before I even knew it was a tex-mex restaurant. I should have known because it started in Austin, Texas, not long before I was spending time there. Their original restaurant looks familiar to me. I probably had a meal or three at the place and didn’t remember the name. No surprise there. In any case, after shopping last Friday, we needed sustenance, and there was Chuy’s. It was fun, and our waiter was simply adorable. Plus – pictures! The tiny lobby was too packed to snap the Elvis shrine on the way in, which is reason enough to return.
