I love barns. I particularly love horse barns. Light is hard in these spaces. The upper-crust horse barns are built and lit better than most houses, but those are not what I’m interested in. It’s barns like Cherry Run’s – a real working person’s space with dirt floors, limited light, imperfect walls, tack all over the place and a dog or cat or both. A working barn tended by hard-working people. That’s what I love.
