Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.” ~ Melody Beattie

the 1980's
the 1980’s

If you were a teenager or young adult in the 1980’s, you probably had a set of very formulaic portraits made. White backgrounds were all the rage. They still do those conventional portraits, but the styles have changed and the kids have tattoos. Recently on Facebook, Stacy Yelton posted a photo of herself circa 1988 wearing a fedora. Ruth Bryan, also wore a fedora from about that same time, though you can’t really see it here. However, her version of Facebook was old school. Something about Ruth’s photos seemed familiar to me, so I did a little digging. The fedora was a much better look for Stacy and Ruth than for me, but it was a fun Friday down memory lane just the same.
