“Make room for things that matter by removing everything that doesn’t.” ~ Brian Gardner

nope

When I started the outhouse in 2012, in addition to taking one photo per day, the point of writing was to find one good thing in each day. In those earliest months, I would sometimes write for hours, delete everything, and start over until I got it all off my chest and eventually saw something beautiful in my day. Over time, the positive things I found far outweighed the negativity surrounding me at work, and I began to focus more on the goodness. Since that first year, when I really did turn things around, I have rarely encountered a day when it takes hours of writing and deleting before I see the beauty. Sometimes, those posts feel almost superficial for what they don’t say, but feeding negativity goes against the rules of the outhouse. It is with that in mind that I will simply say that the weather in The Bluegrass today was gorgeous as I pumped gas into my little 14.4-gallon-capacity car. I love my car, and I am very grateful for its good gas mileage and my Kroger fuel points.
