I was walking near the faculty club on campus when something on the ground caught my attention. The closer I got I began to think, “Is that a uterus? Is that fallopian tube flipping me off?” Lo and behold, it sure was and it sure did! It was a pin that lost its back, and a really well made pin at that. I have no idea where the slogan originated, but with a little searching I’ve found it used in reference to Endometriosis Awareness Month (a whole month – wow), Ovarian Cyst Awareness, and reproductive rights. You can get coffee mugs, t-shirts, scarves, and post cards, among many other things, with our little flipping pink friend front and center. I’m very sorry for the person that lost this, but it made me laugh out loud. I’m not ovary acting.
