“Allow yourselves to be beautiful works of progress. We all are and always will be. And that’s ok.” ~ Miranda Hart

The shot above reminds me so much of shots I’ve seen of the Icelandic Ponies wandering the stark environment. I love those shots. I love the Icelandic ponies, too. I also love our Kentucky Thoroughbreds that picnicked with us yesterday: two weanlings and a mare. The mare and one weanling were beautiful roans. And doesn’t roan look nice in black and white? The roan weanling was the horse most interested in the camera. Horses love cameras, by the way, some more than others. This roan colt was super laid back with me and the camera, though my regret was not taking other lenses along. Missed opportunities for better shots. Still, it was awfully comforting to rub noses with a horse. There’s just nothing like their majesty on the planet.
