“If you treat someone unfairly, they’ll feel the need to balance the scale” ~ The Irrational

up close coach

I had to park in the back forty this morning (which means it’s probably further than that), but on the way out this evening, I had the opportunity to see the statue of Coach Joe B. Hall up close. He first appeared in an uber-crappy photo in the outhouse way back in September 2012, just after he was unveiled to the public, and again on a wet night in November of 2014. I got a much better look at him in the daylight today. The artist did an excellent job. It not only looks like Coach Hall, but it freaks me out a little every time I see it because, for a split second, I think it’s a live person sitting in a weird place until I realize he is in a very unnatural position, and then memory kicks in and I giggle a little to myself.
