“Originality is the fine art of remembering what you hear but forgetting where you heard it.” ~ Lawrence J. Peter
Behind Cane Ridge lay thousands of acres of rich farmland. Near the fence is a stretching parcel of soybeans with a corn stalk here and there. It’s a bit odd looking, as if the corn is a weed. A weed that, in some places, grows like gangbusters. I’d be interested to hear from our farming readers if there’s some strange design to this or if these purely volunteer from a previous year’s crop, as I suspect. Also, if you go to Cane Ridge, walk to the back fence and enjoy the view. It’s delightful in any season.
