We finally got to see Aunt Janet today for the Christmas festivities. Her not-too-distant bout with Covid really did a number on her Parkinson’s, so things are even harder for her now than before. Of course, it’s been horrible not to see her except through a cold window. It’s been especially hard for mom. She has adored her older sister since she was born and she promised their mother she would look after her. It was a good day, but sad. Even a visit from Santa and Miss Kentucky couldn’t make it better. If you have someone in skilled care or ailing at home, visit them as much as covid will allow, especially this time of year. The holidays can be pretty rotten for many people. A little extra cheer can go a long way.
